Took it in to get oil change and picked it up with the service air bag light on dash

your alternator probably is not charging please have checked to see if charging auto zone will do this for you.

the reason this usually happens is due to an open circuit in the coiled ribbon connector to the airbag from the steering column, the part is called the rotating clock spring contact.

The only thing I can think of that would explain your problem is a faulty ignition switch.

You need to pull the codes from the computer, to know where to go next. Typically, there is a sensor that gets contaminated from road water...but pull the codes...
