ignicion control modules for ford cars and trucks are right on side of distrubutor till model year 04 after that there intergrated into cpu ford calls them TFI modules in there documents
Oil Pan - Removal & Installation3.0L Engine VIN S Engine
Before servicing the vehicle.
Drain the engine oil.
Remove or disconnect the following:
Negative battery cable
Dual converter Y-pipe
Transaxle support bracket
Oil pan by following the bolt removal sequence shown

your starter is down in front of the vehicle near the radiator i know this cause i replaced on on the 04 model just jack up the car crawl under it and it will be right in front of you
It is the reverse switch that is on or located on the case of the tranny. You will see two wires that go to the plug and that will be your reverse switch.
