SOURCE: Is it ok to put a 15 amp fuse on a 10 amp starter fuse for a 2004 grand am

You should never increase the size of the fuse in anything because you can potentially cause a fire. Are you sure the original fuse was 10 amps? It sounds like if it is for a starter the fuse size should be substantially larger. Check the fuse panel just to make sure that the original was only 10 amps

SOURCE: My 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix gt keeps blowing the 30a fuse for the blower motor resistor wondering why it keeps blowing after replacing the resistor I've went through 4 of these fuses

Possible blower motor is defective pulling excessive amperages causing fuse to blow continuously regardless if its still operable.

The fuel pump fuse keeps blowing in my 92 grand am

So it is the injector fuse, not the pump fuse? The injector circuit must have a short in it, or an injector may have a short and be bad. Have your injectors tested with a "resistance test"-they do not have to be removed for this.If injectors test out good, you need to inspect the injector harness for bad wiring. Maybe you missed some of the melted wires?

99 lumina keeps blowing 5 amp starter fuse, I changed starter about 6 months ago and it quit , now it has started blowing it again. Only sometimes. Will start when I jump starter if fuse blows.it has...

Replace the starter relay in the fuse box behind the glove box. The fuse ONLY powers the control coil portion of the starter relay. If it's blowing, there's a short in the winding or a short between the relay and the theft deterrent module. Bad relay is most likely culprit

Wires on grandam starter or alternator there is a wire not connectedon alternator it is a big single green wire

There are no green wires on the wiring diagrams for the starter or alternator. Can you see where it leads to? Could it be a wire someone added to power an aftermarket accessory? Are you having a problem with the car starting or charging? Please let us know how we can help.

1996 Dodge Stratus keeps blowing fuse to starter!

Need to look at symntec and see if there is a relay on the starter. Which there most likely is. and it is bad. Look at the fuse and see if there is another wire going from the fuse to a relay,if so replace that relay.
