Buying a 1989 honda prelude that has low psi in 2 chambers in the engine i also have a honda civic dx 1991 as well as a 89 crx there close years enterchangable? the crxman and honda prelude&crx drive!

More info needed. Is this a hatch back, sedan, or CRX? Is the odometer mechanical [old style] or digital [LCD numbers] The vehicle speed sensor [located behind the speedometer in the instrument cluster] drives both the speedometer and the odometer [mileage meter]. It sounds like an electric problem in the instrument cluster. Remove the instrument cluster and take it to your local speedometer repair shop. Look in the yellow pages for them. Or simply buy and install a used instrument cluster from a junk yard.

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.
