It may be as simple as your oil condition or oil level. If you have poor oil in your engine the VTEC system will not operate properly and when RPMs reach 2800 or so it will buck. If everything checks okay with the oil have the code checked for your check engine light/VSA light.

SOURCE: my honda accord VSA light

I had this problem on a Ridgeline and did just about everything trying to avoid taking it to the dealership. VSA stands for Vehicle Stablility Assist and if your light is flashing then you'll probably need to take it to the dealer and have the system checked for problems and reset. I don't know of any mechanics with the software that Honda has for this system.

SOURCE: I went to the Honda

I dont see any bulletins on the sensor having issues. the yaw sensor also referred to as roll rate sensor is located under the drivers seat. an option for you might be to replace sensor yourself and just have dealer perform the setup procedure.to replace you will need to remove the drivers seat to gain access and be very careful not to drop new sensor. might get lucky and install and light goes off with no further action, but if not most dealers will charge an hour labor to program/setup

SOURCE: how do i repair the vsa unit on a 2006 honda

I found this online. replacing the EGR valve would be a good thing to check as a VSA repair would be really expensive, it doesn't make sense that these should go bad, and it does not seem like it is something you can do yourself.

'This is going to sound funny, but your problem is not with the VSA. Here's what the dealer is missing in their diagnosis.

the way the Vehicle Stability Assist system works is that when a loss of traction is sensed (when one wheel is spinning faster than the other) then the control for the VSA starts to cut out engine cylinders to reduce the power to the wheel until traction is restored. When the control unit enables the VSA the exclamation point icon comes on and it will stay on until the engine is turned off.

Now for the twist--when the engine has a misfire that causes the engine to lose power then the VSA system "thinks" power is being reduced to restore traction and it puts the exclamation point icon on. So in essence, the VSA is being fooled into thinking that the system is enabled when in reality the problem is one of a reduction of engine power.

I have seen this numerous times on the Accords and Pilots. Almost always the problem is with the EGR valve. That doesn't mean that it is in your case, but my experience is that it usually is. Couple that with the history of EGR valve problems on the Honda V-6 and the the odds are strong that's what your problem is. However, anything that could cause a loss of power or misfire in an engine, such as an ignition coil breaking down or bad fuel could cause this problem.

In most States the things that can cause this problem are covered under a 3 year 50000 mile emissions warranty. I'd ask the dealer to do the diagnosis for an engine misfire and see where that goes.'

My Vsa light is on then I see my brake. Light come on sparingly I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey what can cause the lights to come on

You most likely have an ABS issue. You need to have the ABS system scanned for cods and repaired accordingly.

2007 honda accord. VSA and ABS lights stay lit when the car is on. lights do not blink and the switch to turn on VSA doesn't do anything when pressed now.

VSA and ABS use anti-lock brake sensors to complete the calculation.

The first thing to check is to make sure all 4 of the ABS sensors are clean.

Go to your local car wash and clean the wheels first.
KEY OFF / then reconnect the VSA sensor.

Pull the OBDII and email it to me.

2004 honda accord

It's for the 'vehicle stability assist' system.(aka electronic stability control) This lights up if you have turned the vsa system off. If it flashes, it means the system is on and operating to help control the stability of your car (making adjustments in engine and braking). If it comes on w/ VSA indicator light at the same time, it indicates you have a problem w/ the system. Sorry u didn't get the manual, it's amazing how many people throw them out! countrycurt0
