Looks like 99 to 01. they are a pain to pull. I would go mine before pulling another. Old vehicle. Junk yard part. Most likely you have many plugs to replace on it.

I know a lot of cut off dates for older vehicles. Some of the year specific. I also have access to programs. You can find them if your willing to pay.

tyvm so if i replace the 99 awd tranny w a 2wd part #XL2P-7000-AA also a 99 tranny will it communicate w t PCM and run at all? The Transfer case n shaft have been removed

  • Randy Ohler Dec 24, 2016

No. You just asked about a wiring harness. Swapping the transmission takes much more( PCM replace and programming). Could be a wiring project also.

  • Randy Ohler Dec 24, 2016

You also have to replace the out put shaft and tail piece on the transmission.

  • Randy Ohler Dec 24, 2016

If your swapping transmissions 4x4 to 2WD. The drive shaft is not the same length also.

It is never as straightforward as you think because the entertainment system is monitored and run by the body control module and put warning chimes and things like the blinker clicker through the audio system.

A 4WD is a 4.0L
