My 1996 88 oldsmobile had a bad fuel pump. In changing it out the new pump doesnt pump the fuel either. I suspect a wire hasnt been connected correctly. Do you have any other suggestions?

Just bought this vehicle and knew the fuel pump was bad and needed to be changed. I changed it out and it still doesnt pump fuel. Is there a wiring problem you could tell me about? Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

FUEL PUMP HOW DO U KNOW WHEN IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED

Sounds more like a bad fuel injector issue. Not enough info to diagnose. If less than 100,000 miles, then probably _not_ fuel pump.

99 f 350 vacume pump has no power to it checked

The vaccum pump should only work when put in 4 wheel drive. If the truck is running rough the vaccum pump isnt it.Suspect fuel filter, water in fuel, bad injector harness under valve covers. That truck will run bad also if the oil hasnt been changed periodically because the ipr valve cannot work right due to dirty oil and gives icp sensor a bad signal. That truck has the 7.3L , very good engine.

Fuel Pump 2000 Bravada changed but still not working... help!!!!!!

You check the relay?Make a tool out of the relay take the relay apart collapse it.to make full contact and stick it back in,key does the fuel pump come on?If yes keep it like this for 15 minutes if the vehicle stall, the problem is not the fuel pump, The ECM must see a RPM of 250 or more in order to turn the fuel pump on. If it doesnt see a RPM of a 250 it doesnt even know its running.Okay back to the tool you made,This only trouble shoot the fuel pump system

One fuel injector is not shooting out gas. new fuel injectors, new fuel pump, new fuel fitler, fuses ok, and relay are okay. so what is the problem/

either the wiring between the injector and the computer is bad, or the computer is bad. (ecm) the RED wire on both injectors should have 12V. connect a test light to the positive of the battery, now connect the tip to the DARK GREEN wire or the DARK BLUE wire on the injectors. you should get a rythmic flicker at the light when cranking the engine.. if both wires flicker, the injector thats not flowing fuel could be bad. if 1 does not flicker, check the wire to the computer, those wires go directly to the computer, no connectors. if the wiring is good, I suspect the computer is bad.

I have a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 Royale and the gas gauge was working until the fuel pump went out and I replaced the fuel pump and sending unit and the gas gauge has not worked since how could i fix this

I would connect a 12v test light to the wire that goes to the fuel gauge at the connector near the fuel tank. With the ignition on the fuel gauge should go to full. If it does you'll have to take the sender back out and check it. If it doesn't you have a problem with the gauge or wiring. I suspect you'll find you have a sender problem.

Where is the Fuel Relay located on a 94 Oldsmobile Bravada?

the fuel pump relay is on the driver side firewall its a bracket with two relays on it. the relay closes to the fender is the one for the fuel pump. if you want to do a quick test of the relay is to run a jumper wire from orange wire to the grey wire you pump should start working.if it does work then replace the relay. if it doesnt work. run a jumper wire from the battery to the grey wire if the fuel pump still doesnt work replace the fuel pump, however if it does work you have a short in you wires. a good back yard fix for this problem is to run a wire from the battery to the orange wire. hope i didnt confuse you let me know if you need more help.
