Possibilities are brake switch, fuse, or grounds. Since all three are out. Grounds are usually on the drivers side attached to the frame by the left tail light assembly. I would recheck the fuse if you didn't pull it out and look at it. Corrosion can cause the lights not to work, but the fuse is good.
It shouldn't need either with only 69k. Odds are you have a break system problem. Check that first at a competent brake shop or your dealer. Brakes are an important safty system and repair should not be delayed.
It sounds like a leak in the sun roof seals. Better fix it right away. I had the same in my Acura and let it go. Soon I had mold and headliner damage all over the ceiling.
My 2005 Chrysler Pacifica dashboard lights are completely black. I was driving along and I applied the brakes and the whole car went black. It didn't shut off but all the lights went out in the inside. I pulled over and turned the headlights off and back on and the radio, temp, and headlights came back on. But the cluster instrument panel (dashboard lights) wont. We have changed the fuses several times and the panel lights up for a couple of hours, but every time we apply the brakes to stop the fuse blows and the panel is back dark. Help me plz, I am a single mother, full worker and full student on a tight budget and I need all the help possible. plz email me at [email protected] if you know whats wrong with my Pacifica.
The ABS module might be going bad. If at one time the brakes were bled improperly it could have damaged one of the one way valves inside. I would definately consult a mechanic about it, but I'd say, chances are good it's slghtly activating casuing the issue.
