Suzuki swift 2007 rs415 engine. Drove into the Garage ok now unexpectantly will not start.

IS THIS A RUBBER CAM BELT DRIVE, IF YES IT IS BAD
rs415 ,NO SWIFTS IN USA 2007
M15A 4-cyl 1.5 (BUT IS CHAIN CAM)
SO IF COMPRESSION AND SPARK ARE GOOD?

THEN WE DO TEST FUEL, CAN-0-SPRAY TEST FUEL
IT MUST START OR ENGINE HAS PROBLEMS
FUEL DRIBBLE TESTS ARE 99% USELESS IF NOT DRY.
ONLY FUEL PRESSURE MATTERS, FOR SURE CRANKING
ANY DEAD ENGINE, AT PSI SPEC. PRESSURE.
M15A HAS VVT, IF STUCK VVT,STUCK ADVANCED,
THIS TO CAN FAIL.
ALL SPARK GOOD X4 , SO TEST FUEL IS NEXT
SPRAY IT TO INTAKE MAIN PIPE, FOR 3 SECONDS
AND ENGINE RUNS FOR 3 SECONDS AND STOPS
REPEAT AND BE SURE ENGINE SOUNDS GOOD.
IF YES FUEL PRESSURE IS DEAD WRONG

My 2006 Suzuki Swift just started running really rough all of a sudden.Starts ok and runs but rough & little less power.Could it b timing belt..it has done 150,000 kms

the belt should have been changed at 100.000 kms
At this point I would be looking at faulty injectors as a reason for the rough and less power
I would say that changing the belt now along with idler pulleys , hydraulic adjuster and cam and crank seals will save you big time as you are way overdue if it hasn't been done before

When i come too hill 13 suzuki swift looses power,

no year, stated, and no country stated.
google earth cant find hill 13. so......
is transmission slipping? is it and automatic trans.? not stick shift.

slip means , engine RPM rises fast, but car speed does not.
some think that is power loss and is not. it's just slipping.
slip is transmission problems.
ok its not slip.:
which engine?
1.0 L G10 (LP2) I3
1.0 L G10T (LS3) turbo I3
1.3 L G13A/BA (L72) 8V I4
1.3 L G13B/G13K 16V DOHC I4
1.5 L G15A 16V I4
1.6 L G16 16V I
970 cc F10A I4
1298 cc G13BA I4
1298 cc G13BB 16V EFi I4
1527 cc TUD5 diesel I4
1.3 L M13A I4 (petrol)
1.5 L M15A I4 (petrol)
1.3 L I4 (diesel)
so saying my engine acts odd , is useless with out knowing what engine is there.....see why?

ill then answer for generic engines. GAS or Petrol.
  1. never tuned up the engine in a decade, tops list.!
  2. bad fuel,
  3. weak spark or #1 caused.
  4. cam belt slipped do to no service, (or chain on cam)
  5. Low fuel pressure
  6. or too much fuel pressure ,floods or rich misfires.
  7. misfire. causes low power ., lots of causes. over 50, in fact.
  8. The CLuster Check engine light on? running?
  9. Scan the PCM yet to see if it has DTCs; errors to report?
there are steps or tests in each case.
why not get the car serviced. they will do those tests.

Where are the spark plugs located for a 2001 swift

which engine, we cant guess it.
some are diesel and have no spark plugs.

x2,
some engines have distributors if yes, the high voltage spark wires, clearly go to the spark plugs.
on newer gas engines, they have coil pack or
even COPS. coil over plugs. and those must come off to reach the spark plugs.
some cars have coil pack, see those HV wires, same deal
there, covered all classes of engine. one post.
dizzy
coil pack 1 or 2.
COPS

2001 line up
1.3 L M13A I4 (petrol)
1.5 L M15A I4 (petrol)
1.3 L I4 (diesel)

case in point M15
see this photo
see these, its a mix of coil packs and cops.
called wasted spark cops.6381a3d4-e589-49ab-84f3-7f85f881dca4.jpg

they fire on pairs with wasted spark setup.
1 and 4 fire together, as clearly seen above.
the HV sides are wired in SERIES to do that magic.
nexg time post country and real engine name.
we cant guess, either. here, on the WWW !

5-speed manual. Why no power from the ignition to the motor?

In a Suzuki of that age (assuming you have the OHC engine), the most likely culprit is a broken timing belt.

Hi where is the crank angle sensor on my 2006/2007 Suzuki swift EZ

welcome to a USA forum, but where are you ,? cars vary by COUNTRY! (big time !)"laws and what's popular"
the swift is in Canada in 2007 , are you there?>

crank, sensor is CKP (suz, names)
so what engine?, we have like 1zillion posts now
for CKP , easter egg hunts and not once did the poster
say, engine size in car. (real names) nor country.
in the USA all engines have CKP in 2006, (laws) 96'+
the cars year is on the registration, it cant be 2 years. sorry
there is a reg year and build year, 07s can be made in July 2006.
sure. Books are indexed by model year, not build date.

no symptoms posted, so context is ZERO !
no country. so engine is NEVER KNOWN ! by us.
the line up is:
1.2 L I4 (petrol)
1.3 L M13A I4 (petrol)
1.5 L M15A I4 (petrol)
1.6 L M16A I4 (petrol)
1.3 L I4 (diesel)
the ckp can be in 4 places. on all engines if fitted at ALL.
Suzuki made 56 engines.
this list above if for your gen, world wide.

The "EZ" monicker ,hints at Australia?
if there? join a suzuki forum there?
or get the FSM for your suzuki at the dealer ship ?"THERE.

so ends the CKP saga again, to zero.

the enhanced 1.6L VVT? m16

are bolted on after a full RTV silicon gasket squirted on .
then cured, right? its it he FSM , ever seen a real FSM
a real suzuki factory service manual, sold at, "SUZUKI"???

is this what you have, now that you said VVT?
In October 2005, Suzuki launched the Sport version of the new Swift in Japan named SwiftRS, and in September 2006 the model was introduced in most European markets. Named "Swift Sport", it is powered by an enhanced M16A unit, a high-revving 1.6-litre, naturally aspirated DOHC VVT four-cylinder engine with an 11.1:1 compression ratio, high lift cams, forged pistons, and strengthened valve springs.

Does my Suzuki GLX 1.5 have a cambelt or chain

the swift?
what country you in UK,Malaysia?
what year.
the car came with a operators guide and in that guide
is a service schedule, and if there is a belt shown, its replaced near or at 100kmeter (60k miles)

i just google this car, and the engine is a (1 of 3 offered)
1.5 litre M15A VVT DOHC
the M15a can be goggled.
goggle shows, not one hit for a belt and many for chain.
you can look at the engine with eyes.
if the front cover on the engine is loose, it's belt.
finger pressing side of cover, you see it flex inward? belt.
if sealed 100%, its chain (oil sealed) no flex.
the wiki , for Suzuki engines page fails to cover this.
Suzuki has 54 engines. see them here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Suzuki_engines
hope that help,
