Thanks will do. fuses look good but we will get them tested. seem that our head light on the left side has went out now. Does that mean we have a relay gone bad a bulb or wiring issue. we only have 97,ooo miles on the truck.

2006 toyota tacoma trd automatic wont start

Could be a bad brake switch, but not sure since you say brake lights are working. Others reported a blown tail light fuse bit again, since you say your lights work then it may not be the case. I would start by inspecting every fuse. Shouldn't take too long. Then check the brake pedal arm to see the switch. Maybe there is more than one? Or, if the gear selector lock rus off the same 12v as your brake lights, maybe there is a broken wire or the solenoid that locks it is bad.

Temperature and direction fuse location

* does your cruise control work?
* do you brake lights work?
* does your dome light work?
The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and brake lights.
A dim or dead display is a very common problem with the 05-09 Tacoma. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

Where are the wires to connect the trailer breke wires to on the back of a 2005 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4. I found the connector under the dash for the brake controler and a spot for a 30 amp fuse in the fuse...

check inside the break light compartment.
or if you have a plastic guard where you would mount a ball on your bumper, pull it off and look under there.
on my 4 runner it was under a moulding that held the carpet down where the tailgate closed.

Is there a fuse for the overhead compass/temp dispaly for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma and where is it located?

The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and brake lights. If these are working but the compass is dim, intermittent, or dead then the control module has gone bad. You can get a replacement from toyota but I believe it costs $500+.
