2003 Lincoln town car engine cooling fan will not stop running?

In the diagram, pull that fuse, so it doesn't run the battery down. Of course when you drive the vehicle, plug the fuse back in. Any applicable trouble codes? In the diagram, you can see the cylinder head temp sensor. I can't guarantee the sensor is the problem, there could be other issues?

Cooling fan continues to run after engine shut off.

The fan runs for a short time, after ignition off, to continue to cool the hot engine.

FAn keeps running when car is shut off. It runs down the battery and wont start

There will be a sensor switch that switches the fan on and off, either on the radiator or close by maybe on the thermostat housing. you should find it by following the wires from the fan. Disconnecting the plug will stop the fan running, but your engine will get hot so watch your temp (you could connect a switch between the two connections on the disconnected plug as a temporary measure but replacing the switch should sort it out. If by chance the fan keeps running when the wire is disconnected from the switch its a short in the wiring. Oh, the fan will run on for a while after the engine is switched off but it should stop after about minute (once it has cooled it down) Check coolant level.

I need to see a manual for a 2003 pontiac sunfire. I need to see how to disconnect the cooling fan so it will stop running after I cut the car off and then draining my battery.

You shouldn't just disconnect it. If it isn't shutting off properly, then the relay switch is probably burned out. That should be fixed. You need your cooling fan to work properly or the car will overheat and cause severe damage.

Electric cooling fans run constantly even after vehicle is off

Try diconnecting the two wires on the temp sensor at the bottom of the radiator, you may be able to trace the wires from the fan, it that stops the fan, then replace the sensor and it should be ok
