How much oil does a 2004 hilux manual gear box hold?

There is a plug on the side of the gear box. Pull plug out. You should be able to stick your finger into the hole and touch the gear oil. If not, check on your owner manual and see what type of oil goes back into the gear box. Fill it up until it start coming out of the plug hole.put plug back in, & back to riding.

Are when you go to the oil change shop???? Get them to show you where it is at, and get them to top it off for you.???

hi, you should only use the correct oil for this type of gearbox, available from the jaguar dealer, for the price of posibly damaging the gearbox with the wrong oil you may as well pay a little more from the dealer. regards mark.

these should use gl-4 or 5 (75w 90 or 80w 90). the capacities in the diffs should be about 3 pints. rule is fill until it pours out of the same hole. to be prepared buy about 10 quarts(20 pints). happy holidays

you have to take off the speedometer cable/wiring harness from the top of the trans and fill it from there....one 10mm bolt...very awkward spot...it might be snug, so just take a flat head screwdriver from underneath to tap it loose...
