2005 Limited. Why doesn't it start?

Clicking noise, guages jumping, followed by single ding and no codes. Just reads "done" 95,000 miles, recent oil change, new spark plugs, cam sensor. Replaced starter relay and ignition relay 1 yr ago. Corrosions on battery cleaned. Wiring looks good. Will not jump, but very different effect when I try. Guages go crazy, engine and oil lights on.

Went out this morning to check battery. Really cleaned corrosion on leads. Tightened those suckers down tight. Runs like a dream! With the cam sensor and needing spark plugs it had been stuttering to start and hesitant at 2500 rpms. Looks like it just needed a little love in a lot of places.

Have battery checked, if it has an internal short boosting it won`t start it. also check battery cable connections at both ends for corrosion.

It's possible but unlikely. Still sounds like your battery is shot, and if so, jumping it may not work. First I would take it out and get it tested. If OK, your next step would be to check error codes (DTCs) with a code reader to see what's going on.

2005 Chevy Aveo, clicks but start won't catch and when jumped it doesn't charge what could it be??

Your alternator is not charging the Battery, I would replace the battery with a new gel battery and have the alternator checked, bets on your battery just died.

2005 Pontiac sunbird has black gritty oil

sounds like possible lifter ticking due to lack of service. offer to pay for an oil change and drive the car for a couple of days to see if ticking noise quietens down. if it doesn't you may be looking at replacing the lifters.

Noise at strart

The tapping, I think, from the limited information, is the Valves not getting the Oil due to low oil pressure. Once the engine warms up, and the Oil pump starts to flow the oil, the tapping stops. Many vehicles, do this. I would not be overly concerned about the tapping, but I would be concerned about the coolant leak. An easy way to see if you have an external leak is to go to a local parts store, and purchase a leak test kit, which usually is a dye, which can be seen with a blacklight. Take vehicle to repair facility and have a Carbon Block Test done
