Quarter Lower Trim Finish Panel Assembly

Procedure
Remove the cargo tie down loop anchor plates and bolts.
Remove the rear passenger seat belt guide.
Disconnect the rear passenger seat belt so that the trim panel can be removed around the seat belt. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Replacement.
Pull the trim panel toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retainers.
Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Replacing quarter glass on left side on 2005 pontiac gto

Remove the door opening weather-strip. Refer to Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement in Doors.
Remove side sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
Remove the lower quarter panel trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
Remove the center pillar outer applique. Refer to Center Pillar Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.
Remove the roof drip molding. Refer to Body Side Roof Drip Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.

Important: It is necessary to use new nuts when reinstalling the quarter window.
Remove the nine quarter window nuts (1), securing the quarter window assembly (2) to the body opening.
Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.
Important: When removing the quarter window from the body opening make sure that the attaching pins are clear of the outer body.
Remove the quarter window (2) from the body opening.

Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
Remove the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .

Remove the 3 quarter trim panel retaining screws (1).
Starting at the lower edge of the trim panel and moving alternately clockwise and counterclockwise, pull outward on the trim panel to disengage the eight rear quarter trim panel attaching clips (2).
Remove the quarter trim panel from the vehicle.
Remove the 4 radio speaker grille speed clips (1), securing the speaker grille.
Remove the speaker grille (2).
Remove the rear quarter trim panel insulator (1), from the back of the quarter trim assembly (2).
Remove 7 rear quarter trim panel armrest retaining clips (1).
Remove 7 rear quarter trim panel armrest retaining nuts (2).
Gently pry the quarter trim panel armrest insert assembly (3), away from the rear quarter trim panel and remove.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove first row seat.
  3. Remove second row seat.
  4. Remove sliding door sill trim panel.
  5. Remove quarter trim bolster.
  6. Remove D-pillar trim panel.
  7. Remove first row seat belt anchor.
  8. Remove second row seat belt anchor.
  9. Remove screws attaching quarter trim to quarter panel from bolster area.

  18. Remove the screw that secures the back of the rear heater-A/C unit housing to the right D-pillar.
  19. Remove the screw that secures the front of the rear heater-A/C unit housing to the right quarter inner panel.
  20. Carefully pull the top of the rear heater-A/C unit housing away from the right quarter inner panel far enough to reach between the rear heater-A/C unit housing and the quarter inner panel to access the blend door actuator.
  21. Remove the two screws that secure the blend door actuator to the rear heater-A/C unit housing.
  22. Pull the blend door actuator away from the rear heater-A/C unit housing far enough to disengage the actuator output shaft from the blend air door pivot.
  23. Raise the blend door actuator far enough to access and disconnect the rear HVAC wire harness connector for the actuator from the actuator connector receptacle.
  24. Remove the blend door actuator from between the rear heater-A/C unit housing and the quarter inner panel.

    4. Remove the upper C-pillar trim and D-pillar trim panel.
    5. Remove the first and second rear seat belt anchors.
    6. Remove the screws securing the quarter trim to quarter panel from the bolster area.
    7. Remove the screws securing the rear edge of the quarter trim to the support bracket.
    8. Carefully disengage the hidden clips securing the front of the quarter trim to the quarter panel just rearward of the sliding door opening.

Where is the blower motor resistor in a 2001 dodge caravan se. I do not see it behind the glove box. I do see soemthing similar under the hood on the passenger side aginst the firewall but it is not...

Blower Motor - Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable, then wait 2 minutes before proceeding with the removal. This will effectively disable the air bag system preventing possible personal injury.
  2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.

  3. Remove the A/C-heater blower motor cover.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor wiring connector.
  5. Remove the blower motor wiring grommet and feed the wiring through the blower motor housing.
  6. Remove the blower motor mounting screws.

  7. Allow the blower motor assembly to drop downward to clear the instrument panel and remove from vehicle.
To install:
  1. Place the blower motor assembly into position on the A/C-heater unit and tighten the mounting screws.
  2. Route the blower motor wiring through the blower motor housing and seat the wiring grommet in the hole of the blower motor housing.
  3. Reconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  4. Install the A/C-heater blower motor cover.
  5. Install the glove box into the instrument panel.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Check blower motor operation.

Blower Motor - Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right quarter trim panel as follows:
    1. Remove first rear seat. Remove the second rear seat, if equipped.

Replacing brake light above trunk on 2006 chrysler

This is quite a process....

Removal
1) Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2) Remove the rear shelf trim panel.

4) Remove the two mounting fasteners (3) to the CHMSL (2).

Installation is opposite of removal.

Rear shelf trim panel

Removal

1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2) Remover the right and left lower and upper C-pillar trim.
3) Remove the nut that secures the center rear seat belt lower anchor to the stud on the floor panel and feed the seat belt webbing back through the opening in the top of the rear shelf panel trim (2) to the retractor.
4) Remove the push-pin fastener (1) that secures the trim (2) to the rear shelf panel.
5) Slide the trim forward to disengage the S-clip that secures the underside of the trim to the to the center of the shelf panel.
6) Remove the trim from the rear shelf panel.

Installation

1) Position the trim (2) onto the rear shelf panel(3).
2) Slide the rear edge of the trim rearward to engage the lens bezel of the center high-mounted stop lamp and far enough to engage the S-clip that secures the underside of the trim to the center of the shelf panel.
3) Install the push-pin fastener (1) that secures the trim to the rear shelf panel.
4) Pull the center rear seat belt lower anchor and belt webbing from the retractor through the opening the the top of the rear shelf panel trim and back down to the stud on the floor panel.
5) Install and tighten the nut that secures the seat belt lower anchor to the stud on the floor panel. Tighten the nut to 34 N m (25 ft. lbs.).
6) Reinstall the right and left upper and lower C-pillar trim.
7) Connect the battery negative cable.

Tools Required:
  • 3/8 inch Drive Ratchet
  • 3/8 inch Drive 3” Extension
  • 3/8 inch Drive 10mm Socket

Remove Back Seat:
  1. Locate the retainers securing the seat bottom into the vehicle, approximately 10 inches from the end of the cushion, either side. Use your thumb to push in retainer release tab. Lift the seat up to remove.
  2. Remove the two 13mm screws securing the seat back, located on each lower corner. Lift seat upward to release seat back from brackets at the top. You can carefully prop the seat back under the retracted top , use caution if choosing this method not to damage or scratch the vinyl of the seat. You can remove the seat from the vehicle completely by disengaging the flanges securing the top of the rear seat to the fabric of the convertible top well .
  3. Remove Quarter Trim Panels:
    1. Grip the Quarter Trim Panel Cap at the shoulder strap opening and lift up to dislodge the retaining clips.
    2. The inside Quarter Trim Panels are two-piece panels. Remove the upper portion of the Quarter Trim Panel from the vehicle; it is not necessary to remove the lower portion. Pull the forward edge of the trim Panel over the pinch weld in the doorjamb.
    3. Use a Door Trim Tool (Fork Tool) to dislodge the pushpin retainer at the rear edge of the Trim Panel approximately 4” down from the top, pry Trim Panel toward the outside of car to release retainer.

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S) REQUIRED Description Tool Number Safety Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100A
NOTE: Safety Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100-A should be used for safety belt removal and installation.

Removal
  1. Remove rear seat cushion. Refer to Section 01-10 .
Seat Cushion, Rear Sedan
Removal
  1. Apply knee pressure to lower front portion of the rear seat cushion. Push rearward to disengage rear seat cushion pad and frame (600A88) from rear seat cushion front retainers (63370).
  1. Remove rear seat cushion from vehicle.
  1. Remove rear seat back. Refer to Section 01-10 .
Seat Back, Rear 60/40 Split Bench—Sedan
Removal
  1. NOTE: Safety belt bolts do not secure seat back to vehicle.

    Remove rear seat cushion as described.
  1. Fold down back seat and remove two bolts in the center of each seat back striker plates.
  1. Remove two bolts from outboard rear seat back frame retaining brackets.
  1. Lift seat back up and pull forward to remove from vehicle.
  1. Remove panel (52018) and quarter trim panel (31012). Refer to Section 01-05 .
Trim Panel, Quarter—Sedan Removal
  1. Remove rear seat. Refer to Section 01-10 .
  1. Pull up on rear section of rear door scuff plate that overlaps lower quarter trim panel.
  1. Pull lower quarter trim panel away from body.
  1. Remove safety belt retaining bolt.
  1. Feed safety belt through lower quarter trim panel.
  1. Remove safety belt anchor plate-to-sill bolt from quarter panel.
  1. Remove retractor anchor nut and retractor from rear quarter panel.
  1. Remove upper seat belt anchor bolt and anchor from upper rear quarter panel.
  1. Slide anchor plate end of safety belt through the openings in the quarter trim panel.
  1. Remove outboard front safety belt retractor and tongue (611B08) from the vehicle.

  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
  1. Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
  1. Tighten retractor anchor bolt and safety belt anchor plate-to-sill bolt to 34-46 Nm (25-33 lb-ft).
  1. Check the restraint system for proper operation.
