Could be a lot of things but try pushing the shifter back and forth kinda hard and turn the switch on and off a couple of times..they have a safety start switch built in so the car will not start unless the shifter and switch are engaged and in park..have a 2003 and had it happen a couple of times...other then that the power at the starter itself will tell you if the selonoid is bad..if power us getting there when the switch is in tne start position then it is bad..if not you need to look at your fuses and relays..refer to your manual or fuse box for location..good luck..
Might be the starter went out and needs to be replaced. Make sure the battery is fully charged, then you can use a test light on the small post on the starter solenoid, when someone else turns the key to the crank position, if you get 12v there and the starter does not operate it is a safe bet that the starter is your problem.

probably not sounds like either a dead or weak battery or bad connections on the battery posts. first take battery cables loose clean terminals and hook back up hopefully then it will start. or use jumper cables and see if it will jump start. if it jump starts then you no its not starter.if it doesnt jump stsrt then clean posts and cable ends and try again. hope this helps. best of luck

Some aftermark alarm there? Are you check if your model have Anti-Theft or Passlock system? If you recently disconnected the battery or lost voltage, its possible that this is armed.
