You have to go back and find out what is it missing? Compression, spark, fuel, injector pulse, timing? Start with basics and double check what you have worked on, all connections ect.,battery fully charged.

Hi,If you are mechanicly inclined replacing the timing belt should be simple ,If the car still runing be sure to aling the timing marks perfect and make a note of the position in a piece of paper,If not you can get the specs at the auto parts where you get the belt ...YES they can jump do to wear and they can cause valves to bend ,this can also cause major engine damage....

SOURCE: oxygen sensor 2000 2 liter Tracker

You have an heated Oxygen sensor. 2 of the wires heat up the sensor and keep it at a certain temperature, it is turned on and off by the computer. The other 2 are use to send a very low voltage reading back to the computer to tell the computer if the engine is running rich or lean. I don't have a diagram to tell you which wire does what but you can get a manual and that should give you the information that you need and tell you how to trouble shoot it to tell if the sensor is bad or not, you may want to look for a wire laying on the exhaust, I have found wires burnt and lay on the metal.

SOURCE: 2001 chevrolet tracker engine cranks but won't start

You have wet ignition components. Get an air hose and blow dry everything you can get to. You may even have to let it sit to dry out.

How to replace the lifters in my 04 chevy cavalier 2.2 ecotec with out pulling the head

you dont have to remove the head but you do have to remove valve cover timing chain cover since you will be removing both cams to access the hydraulic lash adjusters {lifters}the link is not the 2.2 but shows what is entailed in removing the cams

95 camaro 3.4 l replaced head gasket & timing chain now hard to start but does start when i give gas pops through throttle also here lifter tapping

recheck the valve timing as it appears that you may be a tooth out on the chain and you have an inlet valve not quite closed . The tapping may be the piston just touching the valve head from the wrong timing

Lifters/car not starting

Do you have the 2.2 liter Ecotec 4-cylinder engine, the 3.5 liter V6, or the 3.9 liter V6 engine? If you have the 2.2 liter engine, there may be a camshaft/timing chain issue if you skipped a tooth when you put the chain back on the cams. If it's a 3.5 or a 3.9 liter V6, you may have incorrectly installed the push rods back into the engine. 3.5 liter intake push rods are approx 5 3/4" long, while the exhaust push rods are approx 6" long.
The 3.9 liter intake push rods are approx 5.81" long, while the exhaust push rods are approx 6.1" long. If you mix the two lengths up when you put them back in the engine, you're going to have problems.

Turns over won't start timeing chains good oil leaking from valve cover gasket plugs not firing all the time could oil have damaged cencer on end of cam shaft how can I test it

Check or replace coil pack, and replace spark plugs. Also check if fuel pump is functioning, if not or when you turn the key on and won't hear a 3-5 sec buzz sound, may have bad pump. Fuel pump and coil pack is most common reason that engine turns over and doesn't start.

Timing chain broke

Hello,Bad Luck with timing chain failure,
Sorry to bear bad news but as far as I know Gm engines are NOT safe i.e. the valve miss pistons. It sometimes isn't too severe if very low rev's i.e. tickover, usually 2 or 3 exhuaust and same inlet. Let's hope no seats.

Rapping/ticking sound in my 2001 Chevy tracker engine.

does it go tick tick tick tick and when it warms up it stops or goes quiet?
its your lifters not getting enough oil
when u change your oil it will stop till that oil gets worn out
you will have to replace the lifters or it can also be a slack oil pump not pumping oil around the engine like it should
