I have a '01 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with keyless entry. The rear passenger side door lock will no longer lock using the keyless entry. Do I need to replace the actuator?

  • Anonymous Aug 07, 2009

Turns out the problem I was having with my front passanger window and the back passanger door lock were related as I suspected. I replaced the master control console located in the driver side door handle and now both are working great!!! I picked up the master control console for about $75.00 used.

Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2002: rear, driver side door lock make loud clicking noise when I lock my vehicle from both interior and exterior door locking.

It is the door lock actuator. It needs to be replaced in order to resolve the issue. The part is available from your local Mitsubishi dealer only.
