Google or Bing it. Lots of blogs about disarming or disabling security systems. Is this a factory installed alarm? You will have to pick carefully, but there may be a saab story out there! Prepare for a big learning curve. I'm happily too old to learn, but it looks like a lot of wiring there.
The dealer are the only ones that can disble the anti-theft device with the Tech2,but thepblemou hve ,it souns tome likethe Crank shaft pos sensor, common problem for that year model, agter you let the engine cool down a little bit the engine will start again.
Hi Mark try spraying some starting fluid in the intake. You asked about putting petrol in the carburettor...your 1992 Saab has a carburettor? Impossible. That vehicle is fuel injected.Spray the starting fluid lightly or you'll flood the engine.
If your battery goes flat or you disconnected the car battery, your car stereo anti-theft security system will be activated: you need to consult your car/radio user manual to remove this lock and will need the correct security code.
Hope it helps: please let me know how you go!
Both Auto Zone and Advance Auto carry the plugs you need for your Saab....you can check on-line for the store nearest you...if they don't have them in stock they can order them for you and you can usually get them the same day. I have never had a problem ordering plugs for my 1997 Saab 900S nor for the 1997 Saab 9000 and 1999 Saab 900SE that I work on for friends.....hope this helps.
Jumpstarting cars with electronic ignition is not a good idea. Your car is also fitted with an immobilizer, hence the alarm going off. Get someone to drive you to a place that sells suitable batteries, and fit the new one. You should be fine.
