Easiest way is to stick your hand in front of the battery and take the dust cover off, twist the bulb and done. I'm lucky, have smaller hands! lol, If you can't get to it, remove the battery for easy access.
The passenger side requires removal of the aircleaner box.

SOURCE: 2006 Trailblazer Headlight Replacement

There are not two rods, there are two clips one under fender weild and one right above the light on top of the cover. Pull up on these two clips and pull the light forward a couple of inches and remove the dust cover. You have to take the air filter cover off to be able to reach in and replace the light. It took me about 10 min to figure these out but hope it helps out.

SOURCE: head light bulb replacement 2003 chevy trailblazer

Simple! (I have the same model as well) Pop off the front chevy grill - it's held on with spring clips. Then look at the headlight assembly - there are 2 slide clips on either side, near the top - they have a tab that is bent forward - lift them UP. It may take a little force as they are usually stiff. The headlight assembly can then be pulled off the car, and the bulbs replaced.

SOURCE: no controls on driver side of my 2006 trailblazer

sounds like your drivers door module either fried or lost power, if you can get it scanned it should come up with a trouble code, or if your inclined, you can check the connectors on the module for the switches and make sure they are in all the way. just gently pull up on the trim around the switches starting at the rear of the trim, 2 clips hold it in place, it should pop out, then you can check the connectors

Headlight Bulb Replacement
1. Open the hood and remove the two headlight mounting
screws.
2. Remove the push-in fasteners for the grill area by prying under the
head of the fasteners with a flat bladed tool.

I need to change the headlight bulbs ib my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.

There are 2 methods....1 envolves removing the grill, but it's too brittle

Drivers side, stick your hand down by the alternator and over behind the headlight. You'll feel a 3" round rubber boot, just pull this off. You now can twist out your bulb and replace.

Passengers- remove the air cleaner top, at this point you'll have complete and easy access, same procedure as above.

How do you change the headlight, driver's side on 06 trailblazer

The drivers side is the easy side. Reach your hand down about where the alternator is and then reach behind the headlight. There you'll find round rubber covers that can be pulled off by hand. Then you can twist out your bulb and replace.

Programming replaced master door switch 06 trailblazer

No. not the switch. Check to see if you have power going into it. I don't have the wire diagram, but you can take a test light and check each line. At least one will light up with the key on. Certainly check your fuses.

Hope this helps

How do you change the headlight bulb on a 2006 Chev Trailblazer

When you open the hood you will be looking straight down at the light lenses. On both sides of the lense body on the top you will see two small steel clips. Lift the clips up and this releases the lense body. You will now be able to pull the body out straight toward you. You may need to wiggle it around a bit as it has a habit of jamming up on the wheel well side of the vehicle. Once its out grab the light harness and turn it counter clockwise and pull it out. Repalce the bulb and reverse all the instructions to replace the body.

How to change headlight bulb 2006 chevy trailblazer

See note below for passenger side. Remove the dust cover on the back of the head light assembly (black round rubber cover about 3" in diameter, just pull it off), disconnect the plug on the bulb, turn the bulb a 1/8 turn and pull it out. Then reverse the process for assembly.

***NOTE***If you are trying to replace one of the bulbs on the passenger side, remove the air filter housing cover and displace the filter for access to the dust covers on the back of the head light. 2 screws hold the air filter housing cover on, one directly behind it and one on the side (drivers side of air filter housing).

I have a chev 06 trailblazer, trying to change light on drivers side... i do not see two rods to pull out, i do see that the lights look like its covered with black circular rubber

All standard headlight bulbs are halogen, if you get the numbers off the bulb you should be able to cross reference it at a parts store. If you have no idea what it is you can call a dealership and they will tell you exactly what you need, they will need the vin #.

Replace a headlight in 2005 chevrolet trailblazer It is the low beam light that is on the passager side.

Purchase a pair of bulbs (30.00). Start by removing the plastic trim with the Chevy emblem, pry off with a screw driver. There are two tabs that hold the head light assembly in place. Pull both up and the assembly falls forward. A quarter turn releases the bulb housing. Change bulb and reassemble in reverse order.
