If you can find your engines air filter housing, follow the larger intake hose toward the engine. Where the hose ends and is attached to the engine is your throttle body assembly. Look for the wire harness connector attached to the throttle body and you will see the throttle actuator module which controls the throttle plate.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Where is the temperature sending unit located on a

The temperature sending unit is screwed into cylinder head. Careful you also have a coolant temperature sensor that threads into intake manifold. Temp sending unit is how your guage knows how hot your engine is. Coolant temp sensor is how your computer knows how hot or cold your engine is, so it can compensate fuel & air mixture. You can not put the wrong one in the wrong place, they will not fit. You change 1 for 1 reason & the other for another reason.

SOURCE: i have a 2006 chevy

You do not have a TPS in your car.. I too have a 2006 ChevyAveo.. We have 2 TPS's located inside our Throttle body.. I had the same problem. I have completely replace the throttle body. IT fixed the problem, but when it gets dirty i have to clean it with carberator cleaner. if you clean it don't spray it into it because you ruin the sensors.. BTW you better have small hands to replace the throttle body, i have to use my camera phone to locate he bolts.
