1994 jaguar xjs just clicks when i try to start it-battery is new. The starter bad?code was RR39

    Thanks Wiz I am sure battery is good i keep it disconnected and even hook up another to attempt a jump start. Do you think it just could be selanoid? Should i replace just selanoid or starter too? Thanks

If there is a power drain - new battery or old - it needs to be well charged to start the car..
If the batt is charged well - it could be the starter solinoid or the starter..
However - the typical "clicking sound" is usually a low battery..
IF the batt is low - could be the charging sytem or a power drain ..

remove covers in boot behind seat there are mounting brackest there hopfully not rusted take off bolts remove brackets remove filler pipe but getting it out is a carry on as its a tight fit may need to remove back seat as well

1994 jaguar xjs replaced fuel pump and filter engine started a few time will not now. sprayed starter fliud started afor a few seconds what next
if pump is not working ck relay in dash or trunk behind right where pump cover is if no power to pump if power to connector pull pump re hook and ck operation replacement pump may be bad. i have gotten bad pumps before.and have also wired some replacement pumps wrong.

Tarter clicks once when key is turned on 95 xjs 4.0
could just be a bad alternator it happens,i have gone thru 3 before it happens,go get another and try again.it is a mechanical part,and parts go bad ,does not matter you just bought it,it happens.good luck with your project.hope this helped.
