I have a 1997 BMW Z3 Roadster 1.9L --- When I turn the car off and the lights the rear tail lights remain on. I have to disconnect entire light control switch so it does not kill battery.

yes the light is because of the gas cap being gone (sets code in evaporative emissions system), replace the gas cap, disconnect the battery for five minutes and that will turn of/reset the light, make sure u have the radio code before u do this, if u don't u will have no radio after the battery is disconnected..

There is a spray product that I used a long time ago to remove the vinyl letters off a boat. It worked great just can't remember the name. Check with an auto paint supplyer.
