2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R cranks but won't start!

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R won't start after driving. It starts up after sitting over night or after 20-30 minutes of waiting just fine. I have replaced the Fuel pump and it did not fix the problem. It cranks real strong but will not start. Could it be Coolant Temperature Sensior, Cam Shaft position sensor, Compression? It doesn't show a check engine light.

It is not a problem of sensor as it is not showing any dashboard light, neither it seems to be a problem of battery as battery gets charged after driving if the alternator is working fine or otherwise it won't start at all after overnight standing. It could be a problem of starter solenoid as it has copper windings and when the copper winding gets old it functions intermittently. I am sharing a video that will explain it better.

Might be a weak battery.

Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses.
Hope this helps.

The asker clearly stated that the vehicle cranks strong. Weak battery isn't the issue here obviously.

Thanks Steve....the thing that got me was the 20-30 min and starts good. That's the sign of a weak battery. The 20-30 min gives the weak battery time to regain some power.....Don't you agree with this? Nice working with you anyway Steve.

Did anyone check the oil level? The low oil sensor will disable the ignition if more than a quart low

Usually if a sensor fails, you will get a trouble code and the check engine light. So its probably something mechanical or something that is not controlled by the engine computer. Which component are you lacking when it won't start ? Fuel or spark ?

To logically approach a problem first ask yourself what changed. The only sensor that is subject to physical wear and age is the TPS (throttle position sensor)

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Cranks but won't start!

It could be the fuel system.
It could either flooding or starving for fuel.
If injectors are fouled badly it will wet the plugs and not fire.
If plugs are pitted that makes it easier to flood. (check plug tip condition, check all plug wires and boots are good)

If it is starving -- fuel pump weak (going to fail).
Need to test fuel pump pressure.
