Replace out that censor it will stop the vehicle from starting. if the crank shaft is not adjusted by the censor then the car will not start. It is a key part of the timing and will throw the automatic kill switch to the ECM (electronic control module) that allows the car to start. When you do repairs like that it is always a good thing to change out that censor as it will always go bad from ware.
it might be this sensor I can't think of the name of it but it is located by the thermostat. it is held on with 2 10mm bolts and has a connector similar to the mass sensor on it. This sensor controls spark.
Possible cause would be the coil breaking down. After the car starts and runs again and stops take a inline spark tester and connect between the coil and the spark plug wire to check for fire. If no fire then remove the coil and replace it. hope this will help you.
Try checking the fuel pressure valve & vacuum hoses, I'm unsure about your model, The fuel pressure valve has 2 very small rubber O rings & they over time perish - there are 2 types that I can recall - 1 is a sealed unit & the other has a Cir lip. If yours is that later when you remove that clip there is a larger rubber ring on the shaft - take note at what position that ring was facing on removal. Seal unti can only be replaced. Hope that helps, good luck
you know. i took it to a mechanic and actually.... The timing belt cut the Crank Shaft Censor... So it was the crank shaft censor again. The wires were routed wrong from the first mechanic that "fixed" the car.
