I have a Jaguar XJ6 and today my trunk wont open. It has never opened with a key. I use the exterior button on the trunk or use the trunk button inside the car by the steeling column. I am having no other electrical issues except for this. Is there anything I can do t get this open !?!
The last Jaguar on which I corrected this problem had a nut loosen on the lock mechanism. I took out the rear seat and then the parcel shelf covering and then cut an access hole into the trunk.
That was a 1987 XJ6. I am not certain that you have similar access due to fuel tank location. If you take this on, be aware of that possibility.

i have a i996 xj6 went to use it but nothing works battery ok but alarm will not do anything will not unlock cant move gear stick no interior lights will not switch on the ign boot will not open centeral lockin wont work any ideas please
