Replaced battery. is there a relay or fuse you can pull? we have the blue ox tow package on the van for towing behind rv. have disconnected the inside dome light so there is no light to draw from battery
If you have to have the key on to unlock the steering wheel, try installing a battery cut off switch under the hood. You cannot completely remove battery power completely or you will loose the radio station memory and the brake lights. You can install a battery isolator on the RV so you can charge the battery on the odessy while you're towing it using a wire on the hitch connector.
SOURCE: I have a 2007 honda
This is a problem as I also tow a dinghy. The only way that I know is to install a battery disconnect switch. you can get one at WalMart for about $5. The concern is that you will not have the ability to use any of the dinghy's power. In other words, anything that needs to be operated will need to have power supplied from your MH. This includes braking and lighting systems. Also, every time you hitch or unhitch, you will need to re-engage the battery switch. One last note is that every time you disconnect the battery, all your stored information such as radio presets and computer info will be lost.
Good luck and I hope this helps :)
