Ac circulating button on ac panel needs to be held down in order for cool air to blow. but i have no problem during the morning or late afternoon.only during the peak hot hours 10am til 8pm . i've been told that i need a new ac panel by pep boys. now ,car x is saying that i need to have the pcm replaced.which is the computer that controls the signal to the compressor. a piece of paper jammed in between the two buttons doesn't work, I need to apply pressure with fingers until ac light and circulating light lights up,after about 30 to 40 mins of continuous pressure, the ac holds when i release the button.but remember this is only during the hot hours of the day.

the fan not running is a problem so check out the relays , fuses and temperature sensors that control that fan

Make sure your blower fan is turned on and is blowing air. When you push your a/c button the yellow light should come on. If it is not blowing cool, it could be several things. Low on 134a or the control that has the a/c button on it could be bad or blown fuse, bad compressor, etc. If the air is cool but not cold the 134A is low. If it is still blowing hot, check and make sure that the clutch on the compressor is locked in. It most likely is not. Check ac fuses and ac relay, if they are good, check the 134a ,if low, refill it. This should fix it. Remember that if the a/c clutch is not locking in, you cannot add 134a because of no circulation.On some vehicles, if it is completely out of 134a, the relay will not trip and you will have to bypass the relay to provide power to the compressor to fill it. If you do all of these and it still does not work, you will need to take it to a professional. If you need to, reply back and I will give you more possibilities.(I think that you mean evaporator coil)

You need to turn off the button that say AC on it. You need to change the temperature and the fan adjustment. If you have the AC button turned on, the fans will blow cool air even though the heat is turned on.

Yeah that sounds right, sounds to me Like Power Control Module (AC Control Module). You shouldn't need to get a code from the factory removing the Radio. If you do its not a big hassle it can be done by phone.

If it blows thru other vents, your air ducts may have come loose. If you don't get any cool air, your coolant is low (it evaporates during the time and below some point it will not circulate anymore). Also the aircon blower can be faulty.

If the vehicle is equipt with an ambient air temperature display, the sensor also prevents the AC clutch from engaging if the outside air is below as certain tempreture. To test, turn the AC on. Press and hold the AC button at the same time as you press and hold the recirculate button. Hold for 5 to 8 seconds. If this is the cause of the issue, the AC will kick on and you will hear the compressor clutch engage. This should also reset the sensor and correct the issue.

It may be getting low on freon sometimes they leak out

check out first the fan for your AC under the hood close to the radiator. There should be one for the radiator and another for the condenser of the AC. It could either, the fan is not blowing or it has become weak. Check out the wiring if it may have caused it to not work.

If all check out OK, have your AC system checked out if you need more freon or of there are leaks. HAve the condesner checked out as it may not be cooling effectively.

be sure to check your vacum hoes sometime if there stop up they wont let the air circulate

The button is faulty. Get another one fitted.
