Flashing trac off and steady ABS light on my ES 300 lexus

water getting in electrics somewhere lights perhaps or water in the fuel from hole somewhere in tank

Probable answer. I had this problem on my 2004 Kia Spectra 1.6 auto. Though the car was working normally, the ABS keep coming and going. Further check, I found the car battery terminals were dirty and loose. After cleaning it up and recharging the battery, the problem got solved. Hope it works. Good Luck

Those systems are controlled with sensors on the wheels. One may not be lined up well enough to sense the speed of the tire or the mechanic broke one and didn't tell anybody.

Hello. I want to know more first, does it only make noise in motion or all the time?

CHECK ALL THE WHEEL SPEED SENSORS WHICH ARE AT EACH WHEEL. THEY EACH HAVE A CONNECTOR THAT OFTEN COMES UNPLUGGED. HAVE YOU HAD ANY BRAKE OR AXLE WORK DONE? THAT IS USUALLY WHEN THEY GET UNPLUGGED.

I had check engine light and TRAC OFF. OBD-II MIL code was P1133 which is Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Response Malfunction and scanned by AutoZone. After disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes, the lights went off. I cleaned the gas cap and tightened it firmly. For the last 400 miles, the lights have not come back. When scanning using Snap-on one, no code was detected. I think gas cap was the reason for the lights.

if the leak looks like water it prob the air conditioner but i dont think everything is related sounds like it needs a little bit of servicing

A week ago, on my Lexus ES 300 (2001), "Check Engine" and "Trac Off" lights came on. This coincided with me filling the gas tank to the brim to round the dollar to be paid. I cleaned the gas tank cap and the tank opening. However, both lights persisted. On the same day, when I turned on the car again, there was a hesitance, a stuttering to come on. Both "Check Engine" and "Trac Off" lights were still on.

The next day, the car wouldn't come on at all. It sounded as the battery was dead. I couldn't even jump start the car. So, I got a new battery from Costco ($59) and put it in. It took 15-20 seconds of cranking to get the car started. Once it was started, the engine sounded fine and the RPM normal. The "Check Engine" light was off. However, the "Trac Off" was still on. I cleaned the gas tank cap one more time.

The next morning, when I turned the car on, there was no problems. It came on instantly as it used to be, didn't have any warning lights, and drove smoothly.
