I can't find the starter relay for my 1991 Honda Accord 4 door 4 cylinder. I've already tried looking under the dash by the fuse box.
It is up , behind, uncomfortably up and behind it. Get upside down, legs over the back of your chair, flashlight in your mouth, crazy up in and behind it. You won't find it at a glance. But once you see it, you will stay upside down to get it out. Good luck, and remember, stay cool. Its easy, just uncomfortable.
SOURCE: dash light DRL stays on
Bad solders in DRL relay located left side of steering column below change drawer behind dash. It will be indicated with a stamp DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY. Remove it and redo the solders to the relay contacts in the unit. This will fix the DRL light in dash, return the DRL system to functioning and will also fix headlight not working problem.
SOURCE: cooling fan only comes on when the AC is on. Have checked relays and fuse.
there are 2 fans 1 for the ac that only comes on when the ac is on thats normal.and the radiator fan that comes on when it reaches 160' to 180'degrees only on electric fans.u might have to reposition the wires on the fan.

After you have checked the fuseand the bulb connection, you may also want to check the brake switch located at top of the brake padel under the dashboard. Once you push the brake padel, the switch will trigger and the brake light will be on. Use simple 12 volt test pen or voltmeter to test the current supply. Enjoy it.
SOURCE: ac compressor clutch relay 1991 honda accord
Difficult to describe, but I will give it a try.
Inside the driver's side fender, close to the front of the car, there is a bracket that is held in place by one bolt, but which has a short horizontal bar as part of it which has two large clips encircling two cylinderical devices which have wires clipped into them at the bottoms. The one closest to the front (radiator) is the compressor clutch relay. The other one is the condenser fan relay.
Hope this helps you find it.

disconnect the cable to the battery........there is 3 bolt holding the starter to the engine/transmission housing. You may need to remove the air intake manifold to gain access to the work area.
