Ck transmision fluid level if level is ok posible broken or disconected shifter cablo or bad transmision

you would have to by pass the circuit in order for this to work however our abilty to start the vehicle would be compromised in the effect that this circuit also includes the neutral safety switch. i would advise not to do this. please rate this........thanks

Pull the transmission and take it apart. Either the shifter fork is broken or the input or output shaft is snapped in two pieces.

we see this a lot, you have either broken a froward planetary gear or have lost the froward line pressure in the transmission, you will need to replace the transmission, our shop replace 2 last week for the same problem....sorry

Have the transmission repaired or replaced. The shift arm that shifts the gears is probably broken. That is why you cannot switch gears and is making that noise.

I just purchased a 2007 jeep liberty sport
I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty and the smae lever that tilts the seat also moves it forward and back. Press forward or back on the switch. Also check for blown fuse or a loose wiring connector under the drivers seat. Good luck, Techjoel
