Hi Anonymous, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
Which seal? The drive shaft(pinion seal), or the housing cover? or axle seals?

SOURCE: front axel oil leak

High pressure wash the entire area and engine, including the strut or shock area. Depending on how long it takes to leak, look at the axle at night with a flashlight as you can see shinny liquid easy at night, but you will see it in the day also if the leaking is prominant.

You might have a leaky strut or shock that is running down on the axle and I am hoping the mechanic took you for a ride,

SOURCE: 2000 go tracker bad oil

It has to be an oil pressure sending unit. There are two of them on that SUV but they are in different places depending on your engine cord. If you go to Advance Auto parts or O'Riley, they will tell you exactly where to look.

My left rear wheel is leaking diff oil everywhere and stuffed my brakes.I took axle out cleaned the lot.Cant see any broken seals. What do you think was wrong

There is a seal in the housing that keeps the oil from coming out. The seal can wear out, the axel shaft can wear down and leak too. If the axel bearing is bad it will accelerate the issue.

Its leaking gear oil

Leaks on the rear differentual can usually occur at 3 places the axle housing,or at the axel shaft oil seals. If it were to be the axel housing gasket it would be visible around the housing cover. Also inspect the axel housing slip yoke seal this will also be visible. The next seals you want to check would be the axel shaft seals. In order to get to these seals you will have pull the tires and drums.Once you have them off take a flashlight and look behind the axel end for any oil leaking. Those would be the only places it would leak oil.

Leaking left rear wheel seal.

Loosen differential cover and let oil drain. Remove cover, remove E clip lock from axel. Pull axel out. Remove bearing seal. Install new seal and reinstall axel. Reinstall E clip lock and new cover gasket. Fill with 75-90wt gear oil. Now I know that sound pretty straight forward. But there are some things to remember. The E clip lock can be difficult to remove sometimes. The most important thing is the seal, you will need to make sure it gets seated correctly and not torn when installing axel
