How to replace a 2001 Cadillac Eldordo front bumper

If you look around on the backside of the bumper, you should be able to find the bolts that hold it on, same with the grill. Look aound the bolts are pretty obvious. Just take out what you need to remove the bumper, a little tugging and pulling on the bumper might help find bolts that are easy to miss.. look around, you will find them.

Replace heater core

Hello,

To replace the core of your GMC 2001 Jimmy, You will be needing these instruments, Repair manual, Socket set, Screwdrivers, once You have them together, please follow the steps below:
  1. Lift up your car's hood and locate the heater core. If you are not sure where the core is located, an auto parts store employee or a repair manual can help.
  2. Remove the screws or bolts that hold the heater core in place. You may need to remove other parts of the car before being able to access the heater core.
  3. Disconnect the intake and outtake hoses from the heater core. You may need a special tool to remove the couplings that connect the hoses to the heater core (refer to your car model's repair manual.)
  4. Remove the heater core. Be careful not to tip the core over, as coolant will leak out.
  5. Reconnect the upstream and downstream hoses on the new heater core in the same matter that they were attached to the faulty core. Leaks can occur if the hoses are not connected properly.
  6. Screw or bolt new heater core in place.
  7. Finally, replace all of the removed car parts.

  • The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
  • Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section. NOTE: If a heater core leak is suspected, pressure test the heater core to be certain of the problem before removing it from the vehicle.
  2. Remove the instrument panel.
  3. Remove the plenum chamber from the vehicle.
  4. Remove the screws and the heater core cover from the plenum chamber.
  5. Carefully cut the seal above the heater core inlet and outlet tubes and remove the heater core.

To Install:
  1. Place the heater core in the plenum chamber.
  2. Install the cover on the heater core.
  3. Install the plenum in the vehicle.

Im replacing the heater core in 2001 jeep cherokee...i have the dash off down to fire wall...all screws are out of bottom heater box but I cant remove the bottom of box to get to heater core...what am I...

I need to install a heater core for a 2001 Pontiac bonneville I need instructions on how to remove and install it.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • Heater hoses from the heater core
    • Right sound insulator
    • All necessary electrical connectors and remove the instrument panel compartment
    • Temperature valve actuator
    • Electrical connector and remove the HVAC programmer
    • Heater core cover-to-heater assembly screws and the cover

    To install:
  4. Install or connect the following:
    • Heater core and the heater core-to-heater assembly screws, then, tighten the screws to 12 inch lbs. (1.4 Nm)
    • Heater core cover and the cover-to-heater assembly screws, then, tighten the screws to 12 inch lbs. (1.4 Nm)
    • HVAC programmer and connect the electrical connector
    • Temperature valve actuator
    • Instrument panel compartment and connect any necessary electrical connectors
    • Right sound insulator
    • Heater hoses to the heater core
  5. Refill the cooling system.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Operate the engine to normal operating temperatures; then, check the climate control operation and check for leaks.

Replacment of heater core on 01 chevy S-10

Have replaced my heater core in my 2001 regular cab 4wd in december 2009. Had to pull the complete dash including the complete metal dash behind the dash that you see. Also had to remove the right passenger side inner fender well to acess the remaining two bolts that hold the heater core cover to the firewall. Its an insane job to do but the repair shop books call for 9 1/2 hrs to do the job. I'm not an expert but this is what it takes.
