You will need to remove the door card and check the lock linkage rod to the door latch, it may have come off, most likely from a broken retainer clip..
dose the key turn in the lock you could have a worn door lock where the plastic link bar on the back of the barrel gets a bit worn and just dosnt pull the link bar up enough , you realy need to remove the door pannel and really look at whats happening to the lock from inside the door checking the movement when you turn the key to unlock position you may even take up any play on the link bar to the latch lock by putting a slight bend in the bar to take up the slack
not an answer but possibly related question. battery runs down quickly (overnite) no, non-factory accessories, door closed so interior lights are NOT on. could electrical problem be related to door not staying latched closed?
