Where is the crank position sensor and how do i know if it bad?
The "crank position sensor" or "neutral safety switch" will only allow the automobile to start if the transmission shifter is in the park or neutral positions. If your transmission shifter is located on the steering column it will be in the engine compartment on the steering shaft attached with one bolt and an additional one for adjustment. Try shifting all the way from park to the end (usually 1st gear) and back to park, then try starting again. The sensor may simply require adjustment and tightening, if you do this yourself be sure to use a drop of locktite to prevent future reoccurrence.
