I am missing a vacuum hose that plugs in just below the throttle body on my 2000 Wrangler 2.5L. Which hose is this and where does it go?

I can't find a diagram for this the 2000 2.5L YJ. All I need is this replacement hose and a diagram of where it goes.

The hose is completely gone. I have scoured the engine compartment to no avail. Nor can I find out where it connects to. I terminated the hose fitting, but my idle is still very high. How can I find out if my jeep is supposed to have a terminator or a hose connection?

well its likely if its missign yould know by no idel at all i think it would be rough when takign off . an yold hear a hiss too . it normally came off of a t connector to the vacuume advance or they capped it. , i can bet there are no wrangler forums to share driving experiences so that leaves some old knowitall or a manual.

Need help keeping idle

idling problems are usually created by a few things all attributable to the inlet manifold clean the earth behind the injectors. Spray soap and water around the gasket connecting the manifold to the head if it bubbles it leaks fix. Check all hoses are connected to the vacuum points around the throttle body if these are good , There are two points of idling controls at the throttle body electronic throttle positioning sensor located on the butterfly the other below this is the idle speed control sometimes the O-rings die around these and need to be replaced alternatively replace both . Check your fuel control valve , O-rings on this and the injectors create problems on the fuel rail

My car does not idle and has a miss at reves how do i find where the problem is ?

You don't mention the model or year, which make a BIG difference.

Possible causes of poor idle:

Vacuum hose leak or intake air intake path leak.

Dirty or loose throttle body.

Throttle body IAC motor is jammed, see above. Fix is to remove the throttle body and clean it.

Dirty air cleaner.

Miss at revs...

Old plug wires or plugs.

Bad distributor coil, will also cause hard start when cold.

Timing could off setting.

Looking for vacuum system diagram for a 1995 Jeep wrangler? Specifically, the MAP sensor.

Map sensor should be a single hose from the sensor to the intake manifold. On the newer ones they attach the map to the throttle body with a short nipple between the sensor and the TB base, eliminating the hose..

2000 dakota with 4cyl power miss at idle new plugs wires cap

Sounds like it might be choke? Maybe a vacuum line leaking around the throttle body? Or oxygen sensor? Or throttle position sensor? Or mapp sensor?

Not positive, but I would try those in that order. I hope this helps.

How do i fix my high idle problem on jeep wrangler

a quick fix is to look under the hood, look for where the intake meets the throttle body, you will see a bolt which can be adjusted. When you start to screw it out, your idle will decrease...

Engine stalls occasionally even with new ignition system

The powdery black substance tells me that your egr valve is not working. And that is operated by the vacum sysem. The pipe has probebly come of the EGR valve.

sounds like you have a major vacuum leak. Plug the throttle body completly with you hand. If the car does not stall out there is you idle problem. Take carb cleaner spray vacuum like throttle body gasket intake gasket etc. Hope this helps please rate me.

My 2.5 4cyl idols to high about 1500 to 2000rpm. how do i slow this

Most common causes for your problem are either a dirty throttle body (clean the throttle plate so it closes properly inside the throttle body). A bad or dirty idle control valve (remove and clean it) or a vacuum leak (check all hoses in vacuum system for cracks detached connections) There are other items that can cause your problem but most often it is one of the above.
