if you can open the bonnet and can get to the starter motor, clip the positive cable of a charger onto the battery cable terminal and the negative to the engine bolt anywhere
that will charge the battery
I ask why you just don't pull the boot release cable to pop the boot
Can you give a check to the micro switch that is connected to your boot lock?
If the catch gets stuck, open your drivers door, leave it open, reach across & press down the lock on the passenger front side. The locks will lock/ unlock themselves, because they sense a door is open. Repeat this action until you hear the boot unlock. Also, keep your battery well-charged.

try using a battery saver to open it. its a part you can buy at most part stores that plugs into your cigarette lighter and supplys slight power to save your computer settings and may be enough to open the boot..
I have a e320 2003 model, the same has happened to me. I wondered if it could be the fuse but couldn't find a fuse that managed the boot.....
This problem is identical to the other post "boot wont open electronicaly by the boot release latch above the number plate, the boot release button inside thecaror the key fob! I have to use the manual key to mechanically open it now."
