SOURCE: Subaru Impreza 2004 - both

Hi

Most definitely check out the headlight dimmer control switch. Isolate the wire that comes from the headlight switch to the headlamp bulbs for low beam and check to see if there is a short in the wire. You can find this wire by using a test light turn on the key and get a good ground with the test light poke the wire and see if the test light illuminates with the headlight switch on.
There is a daytime running light module that controls both low beams and the daytime running lights. The low beam bulbs may be OK. The high beams will work fine as they are not controlled through the module.
It may be possible to disable the daytime run lights by cutting the yellow wire going into the module and then connecting it to ground. Tape off the other end.
Check this video,it will help you locate and disable the day time running light:-

SOURCE: Brake lights won't work on 93 Subaru impreza. Fuse ok, bulbs ok. Brake light switch replaced 1 yr ago

Mr. Williams since you tried with fuse, bulbs and brake light switch with no success, why you do not try to check your circuit by using a tester and see whether you have any broken wire or bad earth?

SOURCE: 1997 Subaru Impreza Tail lights work but brake lights don't even though the Hatch brake light is working

Hi,
So, both sides are not working? Check for voltage @ the brake light bulb to see if you're getting power. Also, look in the fuses.

check out the online Subaru forums, too.

SOURCE: headlights won' turn on on a 2006 subaru outback marker lights work

2006 Subaru Liberty 3.0 Blitzen, 52,000kms. It's unbelievable, both my low beams went out at once and when I checked it was both the globes had gone at once. Never has this happened on any other vehicle before, I've ordered a HID conversion kit over the net, hope that works well.

My marker lights on my 2008 Subaru impreza do not work .

The first step is to verify that the tail light bulbs are not burned out. I Next step is check
a) if you get+12v on the bulb, and
b) check for poor grounds to rear light cluster.

There is a fuse for parking lights. If all this check out then trace the wiring harness under the carpet from the driver seat to the rear for rust/water damage.

High beam headlight relay located

there is a fuse for that circuit in the fusebox lower dash if this is ok check that your getting power to the high beam wire at bulb holder if not the part of switch for high beam isn't working if are getting power check the bulb holders for warping etc as can get very hot and mishapen so that the bulb doesnt always sit on the contacts but if bothe lights out i'd think its a power supply problem

Clear moist inside headlights of Subaru Impreza wrx 2008

first remove the bulb of the headlights then you can use a rag and a long stick, a screwdriver will do. put the rag infront of the screwdriver then wipe all the moist carefully. you can try leaving it to dry up too just leaving the bulb socket open, it will just take time
