Sound like the switch pack but could also be a computer fault. Not something you can fix yourself. Find a specialist shop - not a dealer to check it out

SOURCE: 1996 4.0 Range Rover won't unlock

This car is in super lock mode... when you press remote 2times to lock or when you lock with remote and try to unlock using key manually.

there is a 4 digit number to open the door, its like opening a safe, starting from the left(key in car door) it goes L/R/L/R. so if number code is 1234..... left 1, right 2, left 3, right 4.

or if this too troublesome you can ask landrover dealer to remove the KEYCODE.

happy trying.....

SOURCE: 06 Range Rover audio head unit is frozen, locked up

Think this might be a dealer fix, with them taking the unit out and re-setting it, did you try a few times to enter codes to?? if so its locked out, or see if there are any mobile phone unlocker shops in your area, they might be able to help.

The Solenoid fitted on the Steering Rack is not getting the command from The Body Control Unit. Kindly Replace your BCM and then your problem is solved. You can try to make sure by giving direct current of 12v to the solenoid and check the Steering. if it works then simply change the BCM as it's not giving d command to the Solenoid. Salman EiD

does the roof lamp work? if not then means your Vehicle in transport mode. to have it in normal mode you need to take it to a dealer or something equivalent to have the job done by approved diag. machine

AES problems. I have changed drive box, valve block air pump and all height sensors...but still having a problem of intermittent fault on the aes system. Any suggestion? Tqvm

You posted this question twice - my answer to the other post is:

For around $1000 the entire system can be changed to conventional coils, eliminating the EAS completely. You will not get as good a ride, but you will not have problems with the pump, valve block, lines or air springs either. If you want to refine the coils system one stage further, fit POLYAIR springs inside the coils

The problem is in the valves that control the height. There will be a small leak in the unit that is causing the fault. Have them /it checked and replace faulty unit

I wanted to ask about the eas on my range im getting a bes fault nd i also have a right door open sign the bump stops ae terrible plz help

A number of issues can lead to an EAS fault. I will assume that you have escalated into a HARD FAULT most commonly signified by the "slow 35 mph" message on your dash. A HARD FAULT is not easily reset without the proprietary Rave diagnostic system your dealer uses. Without more details to zero in I could go on for pages with possible causes and corrections. If you are planning to chase this down yourself start by searching the web for RSW solutions and download their free (donate if you can, these guys are saints as far as I'm concerned for making this available) EAS software and follow the instructions to diagnose without a lot of tail chasing. It all starts with a leak and graduates to compressor failure. Sort this one out asap. Good luck, repost your findings/specifics for additional info and EAS repair tips.

My 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 keeps draining the battery. This is the second time I have had to call AA to jump start me....Is this a commong problem with these cars ?

The Range Rover runs system even when you have locked the car and walked away, you can often here the fan on the computer running from inside the front wheel arch. What can happen is if there is an error caused by a faulty sensor then the computer fails to shot down and instead runs all night until the battery goes flat. Best thing is to get fault codes read and start to try and figure out what exactly is causing it to happen. I would say that this is a common problem but most people don't realise why its happened as they only realise when the car has gone flat.

I own a '99 Range Rover 4.6 hse. I recently reinstalled a battery that had gone dead. I cranked the engine but the alarm went off and the vehicle did not start. I am getting this message: gearbox fault. I...

Unfortunately, there is a trick to replacing the battery.
1) Open the Driver side door.
2) Open the Bonnet and take the battery cover off.
3) Use your remote to lock and unlock the car (keeping the driver side door open)
4) Pull the Negative Lead from the battery first, followed by the Positive Lead.
5) Change or replace with charged battery.
6) Closed down Bonnet.
7) Your windows, sunroof, and key FOB will not work... so follow the next steps.

7a) Insert your key, with door closed into the exterior lock on driver's side.
7b) While turning the key to lock the door, hold down the "lock" button on your remote for 5 seconds while in "lick" position
7c) Your remote will reset, and you should be able to use your remote now
7d) While driving, roll each window down twice. On your third attempt, you should only have to touch the window button, and the window will have reset

Enjoy your Rover!

I have a 2003 range rover the air suspension inactive came on

it could be from many reasons...sometimes even the ABS system will cause this fault or even the Steering position Sensor. if it comes and goes then inspect your height sensors as the early version of the height sensors are getting weak and like melting so it gives wrong reading which cause the fault...offer more info. and you'll get your solution
