2004 lincoln navigator brake lights do not work, but turn signals and lights work

Note the diagram. Left rear turn, the light green wire with orange tracer is voltage. The black wire ground. You need both voltage and ground. Use a test light to check. The voltage for turn signal comes from multifunction switch. As far as the ground, you could try a redundant ground? good luck

The ABS warning light is on because the control module for the ABS has sensed a fault, until the fault is repaired the light will remain on and you have no ABS brakes. You need the ABS system scanned for the fault code to see what part or wiring is defective. When the system is repaired the light will go out.

Taryn, sounds like a faulty turn signal switch, or multi function switch is defective. Check all the bulbs and sockets first for damage wires, burnt wires or bulb socket, cheapest part to change besides bulbs would be the signal flasher or the signal relay if you want to go this route. Turn signal tail lights and BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its blown brake light bulb. First check and confirm brake light lamp is working and that's not the case.

Check the solenoid mechanism on the shifter to check that it is disengaging the shift lock mechanism when the brake switch and ignition are on.

it should be marked in the fuse box. if it's not there or on the lid call your local parts store and they can tell you free of charge

does the 3rd brake light in the back window work? check fuses if fuses are OK and the hazard lights work, then the turn signal switch may be bad. I dont know what your sons suburban (trailer?)has to do with your navigator?

check the bulbs, if not the bulb check the brake lamp fuse/relay in the fuse box under the hood.

Make sure that you have brake lights. It has a shifter interlock solenoid in the console that is activated when ever the brake lamps are on.

check your fuse i think there are two of them. if fuses are good it mit be your turn signal switch
