I haven't known Nissan to use one, but many manufacturers use a fuel shut off device that turns off in an impact such as this.

Being a Nissan I'm suspecting you were hit hard enough for the airbags to deploy?? In witch case you might try pulling the Air bag fuse, then leaving the car battery disconnected for 10 minutes.

But you might need to actually repair the vehicles systems before it will run again.

2006 Hyundai Elantra won't start after front end collision

It's not the fuel shut off, if it were the car would have died on the spot. They are like a circuit breaker, once popped there is no power to the pump. Most likely wires got cut from the accident. You'll have to find them and repair them. If it was their fault, insurance should pay for this. You can't bypass security. Sorry.

My fiat ulysee wont start

Check to see if your vehicle has an fuel inertia switch. During any impact on a vehicle, the inertia switch shuts the fuel system down until the switch is reset. But if it is damaged, you should replace it

Cranks but wont start

Maybe the antitheft system is failing. When this fails it can randomly cut off the power to your fuel injectors. This causes the car to stall. Normally there will be a light on the dash that says SECURITY when this happens. This link will help if this ends up being the problem.

Could Rear end damage from a wreck cause my speedometer and gas gauges to stop working?

You must understand that collision stresses the ENTIRE vehicle. Just because it was hit from behind, does not mean that there is not collision damage in the front. I had a vehicle in my shop several years ago that was hit from the rear. The engine began knocking shortly after. It turned out that the collision had jarred the engine hard enough to cause the crankshaft to crack. This type of damage is extremely rare, but can happen. Trying to convince the insurance company that this was collision damage was a real trick.... On the other hand, fuel sending unit failures are quite common (without any collision) and can cause your fuel gauge to stop working.

The only way to determine if your problems are caused by the collision would be to first diagnose the problem. Only then can it be determined if the current failure is caused by collision or possibly caused by a more commonly known failure type.

If it's the factory security system that honks the horn and flashes the headlights, you can shut it off by turning the key in the door cylinders or in the rear tailgate key cylinder. If it's an aftermarket alarm, look for a small silver switch under the dash and usually turning the ignition on and flipping that switch will permanently put the alarm into valet mode. Good luck.

Check for fuel shut off switch, look in the truck or under the dash around the kick panels, will be a switch with a button on top, make sure the button is push down, if you can fine it call the ford dealship and they can tell you where it's at, when ever a collision the switch will cut fuel off for safty reasons, good luck.
