Why do the dash lights filcker when driving? Interior lights stay on so pulled fuse and dash lights quit flickering. When I put the fuse back in the rear hatch when open will make the interior lights

Yo Randy, you have a faulty ground connection under the dash. You'll find the white wire, ground wire, bolted the the inside firewall under the dash, possibly on both sides, and one or both need to be cleaned and/or tightened.

Have you recently done any work in the doors? It sounds like a short or connection issue with your door lock harness inside your door.

Check the ignition and power fuses under the hood and check the crank fuse under the dash. Also when the lights flicker , it sounds like you may have left a wire loose or off, check around the battery.

this problem is caused by a tiny micro switch that is attached to the door latch inside the doors, the stick and give this false warning, have replaced dozens of them, it is called the "door ajar" switch oddly enough :)

Well, check the fuse box in the engine compartment...then check the fuse on your side panel at the end of the dash...last place, Flashers are located either on the bottom of the fuse block or on a module under the dash. They are replaced by simply pulling them straight out. Note that the prongs are arranged in such a way that the flasher must be properly oriented before attempting to install it. Turn the flasher until the orientation of the prongs is correct and simply push it firmly in until the prongs are fully engaged.

I would think that the wires from the RCW (rock climbing wall) that control the running lights are wired to the interior dash lights of the van, and a fuse blew, killing the above mentioned lights. Check the fuse block for a bad fuse, probably labeled inst lights or inst lgt. Did you make the trip there in daylight, and trip home at night? The fuse for the dash lights couldn't handle the extra drain of the RCW running lights.

check you dimmer switch. the dimmer switch is what controlles the interior dash lights and dome lights. you might have acidently hit the switch and it may have pushed it up from the position it was at. if you push the switch all they up than you interior light will come one even if you shut the car off and pull the key. turn the dimmer switch all the way down and see if it still does it. if not than wait until it gets dark and go outside and turn the swich up until ou can see the dash lights. but remember if you turn it up to far the interior lights will come on.
