I HAVE A 1988 HONDA ACCORD DX.MY BATTERY WAS DEAD SO I JUMP STARTED IT,THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I TURNED THE KEY IN THE IGNITION EVERY THING SHUT OFF;THE LIGHTS,THE HORN,NOTHING WOULD TURN ON.WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT?COULD IT BE A BLOWN FUSE?IF IT IS WICH ONE IS IT?

Thanks a million for responding.I replaced the battery again and had to change not only the terminals but there was some build up on the wiring. Works like a dream now.Thanks again.

Sounds like wiring. The key won't release unless the car is in park. From what I can remember the solenoid that controls the shifter lock is on the same circuit as the horn. Since the fuse was spent I think somthing must be shorting out. Take the centre console out and check for burn and or touching wires by the shifter.

Check for a fuel pump fuse in the cabin or under the hood!
These fuses or relays as they are sometimes called usually look like 2 inch black square boxes!

correct, may be a bad starter, start there. test for power at small wire at rear of starter if theres power when key is held in crank position then replace the starter also make sure battery connectoins are clean and thight, good luck hope this helps.
