My toyota corolla 1.6 16v carb dont want to idle

Check for missing/ broken vacuum hose. Remove vacuum hose for brake booster and plug That checks for air leaks in booster. Check for power to the idle solenoid unit .If that is not working the idle circuit of the carby is shut down. Adjust idle mixture screw as well.

I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla and my check engine light is on. The code is P0505: Idle system malfunction. I have replaced the Idle Air Control Sensor and PVC (?) Valve and have no clue what else it could...

P0505 is correct, but replacing the IAC won't help if the PCM cannot control and/or monitor the operation

you need to measure voltage at the IAC and/or the signal return to the PCM

'03 Toyota Corolla 1,4 VVT-i 4ZZ engine idle rpm

Idle is factory set and cannot be adjusted, your best bet is checking for cracked hose pipework for air intake at idle,(not at problem under exceleration and driving) Any slight upset to the air /fuel ratio will be most prevelent at idle speeds.Check hoses where the meet metal flanges on manifold intakes and any sharp bends in ppipes.Good luck

1984 toyota corolla 1.6 engine. How do i adjust

Carbureted models have a fast idle cam on the throttle,It is a screw that sets against a movable part, called the cam, when the engine heats up,the cam will drop upon tapping the gas pedal.Set the carb, while the engine is cold,by tapping the gas pedal, then adjust the fast idle cam screw by turning it in,with the engine running.Start out by turning the screw in a full turn before starting engine so it will run, then adjust the screw as the engine runs.
