Engine cuts out on my HDi picasso, fitted new fuel filter and a new fuel pressure regulator. Engine still stops intermittently usually in the outside lane on the A1, not very healthy!. Takes about 10 minutes then will start perfectly as if nothing wrong. can make this happen on demand by accelerating hard.Engine management light comes on for about five ignition starts then goes out until the next stoppaged.Code indicates electrical fault within the primary fuel circuit. Citroen sugest keep on putting new parts until fault is rectified! £250 and counting?
Any idea's
SOURCE: Hi, I'm thinking of fitting
fitting rear flaps is a simple job depending on the kit you buy......you may find the rear window gets dirtier with flaps fitted, due to spray being finer.(citroen is the same a puegeot)
SOURCE: car wont rev
under the bonnet on the back of the mechanical pump there is a unit held in by 2 bolts
remove this unit and on the end there is a tiny filter
this will need cleaning because when the lift pump brakes down tiny parts of it get sucked up through the pipes and clog the filter
it may be best to feplace the fuel filter aswell

Have you changed the pump in the tank?
..it is something to do with so called "ergo" or "eco" valve which is connected by a tube to something in which 4 different tubes are hooked up in one black head located on the top left corner of the engine box. just pull it off and problem solved. the so called "e" valve gets blocked by tiniest dirt or water splash resulting in engine cuts. took me 5yrs, and 1000eurs to locate the problem.after that just watch out on pollution tests taken by police if applicable in england. the valve basically re-filter the residue gas before going out. friendly from macedonia...sasko
