I have a 99 grand prix 3800 supercharged. I drive for about 5 minutes until the engine temp gets up(not overheat) and the engine begins to idle erratically and then stalls. It won't restart until the engine temp is cold again. any suggestions?

Yes and no, the engine is compatible. You will need to swap sensors and brackets, but the engine itself is the same. The trans is a different series though. Different computer and controls. Would not be a direct replacement.
The engines are the same dimensions and use the same mounts, but the wiring and sensors are a bit different and you need the computer and gauge cluster out of the supercharged car.
I would check the idle air control valve before replacing anything. The computer regulates the idle speed by controlling the amount of air entering the intake thru the throttle body. The valve could be faulty, or the throttle body can be gummed up. Is the check engine light on ?
Well, lets see....there is no "Grand Prix Turbo" so I am assuming that you mean that your Grand Prix is a 3.8L that is equipped with a supercharger.
The supercharger bearings are lubricated with synthetic oil that is contained in the supercharger gousing. It is self-contained and does not rely on engine oil for lubrication. You can check the oil level in the supercharger by removing the plug in the supercharger housing (see diagram)
Depends on what sub-model you have. If you have an SE its a 3100 3.1L Engine. If its a GT its a 3800 3.8L Engine. If its a GTP its a 3800 3.8L but with a supercharger.
If the pulley is bent or damaged replace it or belts will come off or get destroyed fairly fast. The Kent Moore tool number you have will not work on your application
You will only be able to fit a 3800 engine in this car. If you would really want to swap a different motor a 3800 superchanged L67 engine will fit but you will need a heavy duty tranny from the 3800 motor and you will also need a wireharness injectors and harness and also a PCM. You can find these motors for a pretty cheap price on moradparts from ebay. They also have their own website. Very very good place to buy used W body GM parts
The error code is P1133
