Relive pressure by opening nut that is used to bleed the brakes, then us a screw driver or C-Clamp to pry the brake pads apart.

SOURCE: Brake Fluid Type? 2000 KIA Sephia

any aftermarket brake fluid will be fine. the actual grade is located on the top of the fluid cap. you can find the universal grade at your local auto parts shop.

SOURCE: I need to know where my brake light switch is

most every one i have ever seen is mounted on the brake pedal arm, just above the pedal itself. you will have to get your head and a light up under the dash board to see it.

then there are a few others which are activated by hydraulic pressure, so you have a brake light switch which looks more or less like a brake hydraulic system failure sensor. go to a parts store website and look up their replacement part. there will be a picture of it and you find the part on your car which looks just like it. on autozone website they have a parts locater which shows you where it is located on the car.
