You'll have to give the VIN to an Acura dealer to get the code. Or you can try to go on Acura.com, register your vehicle under "Acura Owners" and you should be able to get the code from the site.

SOURCE: 2005 dodge caravan, factory dvd... no sound through speakers

it wont work thru the factory stereo unless it was setup that way. Did you call daimler/chrysler? They should be able to tell you how the system works or u can check the owners manual if you have it.

SOURCE: Ford Focus: Displaying "Locked 13". Bought the car

Give this a try. If your radio has a button AR or AS, when the ignition key is off, press and hold the AR or AS button throughout this process. Then turn on your ignition.

Press button 1 repeatively until the first digit of your radio code is displayed, do this for the second digit with button 2, the third digit with button 3 and the fourth digit with button 4. When all numbers are showing on the screen push button 5. This should reset the unit.

If the button fails to reset do not keep repeating the process or it will say Forever locked. There are several models and forever is not always what it means. To get your Code there is a site called Fordcodes.com and for $6.99 they will email it.

There is a Code reprogrammer called an E13. A technician or radio shop would need this tool to recover your radio to make it work. If you use your Browser you will see many questions but few answers for this problem except to take the radio in. If you are lucky to have the model of radio which can be reset by this procedure it will eliminate the trip.

I hope this works out for you, the success depends on the series of the radio.

How do I fix my Acura MDX 2006 DVD player

To fix your Acura MDX 2006 DVD player, you will need to check the power connections, check the disc for any scratches or dirt, and make sure the disc is inserted correctly. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the DVD player or have it serviced by a professional.

Just bought a 2004 acura mdx and the DVD player and rear entertainment control panel not turning on?

  • Check the fuses and cable connectors. If you just bought it, a previous owner may have tried to do some sort of repair. A connector might not be in the proper place.
  • Check for flood/water damage. There are a lot of cars being sold that have faulty electrical problems because the car got flooded.

I have a 2004 Acura MDX Touring Model with a non-working DVD player for the flipdown screen for my backseat passengers. It was working fine but suddenly stopped working this past spring. When you put a dvd...

The trim panel around the NAV unit just pops out, there are 4-6 screws which hold the NAV unit in place. Disconnect the wires (they only fit in the correct holes) and pull it out.

This video is for a 2006, but might help you anyway.

2004 Acrura MDX navigation system goes blank after disclosure.

I had the same problem and carefully cleaning the map DVD solved it. After years of use, a film gets built up on it. It is under the front passenger seat.
