SOURCE: torque specs

Hi my name is Allen!

I work for a Dodge Dealership. There are no torque specs for the upper or the lower ball joints on any of the Chrysler Vehicles. As long as you get them as tight as you can they will be fine, don't worry they are held in by road force anyway. Note: Be careful that you don't strip-out the nuts by getting them to tight.

SOURCE: Head Bolt Torque for a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L

the torque is a 4 step process

1 torque all bolts to 22 ft/lbs
2 torque all bolts to 45 ft/lbs
3 recheck all bolts to 45 ft/lbs
4 torque bolts 1 thru 10 to 110 ft/lbs
bolt 11 to 100 ft/lbs
bolts 12 thru 14 to 110 ft/lbs
bolt #1 is the fourth bolt from the front on the passenger side....#2 is the fourth bolt on the drivers side then you continue in a clockwise order

SOURCE: what are the transmission pan torque specs for a

Torque is about 10 foot pounds...I never use this number...It's more important to use a cross pattern so one side doesn't get tightened fully before the other. Tighten each bolt hand tight (lightly) then repeat...use a nut-driver (looks like a screwdriver with a socket end) to tighten...that way you can't really pull them down too tightly. Make sure that you do not tighten so much that you can see the gasket squeezing (bulging) out. Don't use any glue on gasket...the smallest amount can break free and cause huge problems inside the unit. After re-filling and running, check for any leaks and tighten any bolts necessary. On my own stuff, I re-check again after about a week, just to check for any seepage.
