I'm having the same similar problem with a o6 crown vic but with mine I have no power going to the fuel pump, the injectors or the on plug coils. ran jump wire to pump and it works , changed all relays with new I mean all relays . pulled all fuses and checked them all good put in new fuel pump driver module still nothing . crossed jump the cut off switch nothing; not sure but if you first turn key to on position the pump should run for a short few seconds so I can't believe it would be a crank sensor as that should only make fire in revolutions of the crank for firing . could be wrong any help would be appreciated . thanks

Stephen

Lets start at the beginning. Are you saying the engine will not crank, or not start ?
If it cranks but will not start, do you have spark and normal fuel pressure ? If no fuel pressure, have you tested the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ?
If it has spark, will it try to start by using starting fluid sprayed into the intake ?

Check your crankshaft position sensor. fuel+spark+compression+timing=ignition.

SOURCE: 2000 Crown Vic cranks but won't start.

Check the fuel pump reset switch again, if it is popped back out then replace that little switch in the trunk, any ford one will do. it works off a magnet and a bearing to close the circuit for the fuel pump. easy fix.

this sounds like a imobiliser problem, sit in the car, lock the doors on the key fob then open them on the key fob,you have about 2 minutes to start the car or it will activate the imobiliser.had the same trouble.

What do code 1401 mean for my 2001 Ford crown Victoria police intercepted ?

2001 crown vic, code # po1401. this code has to do with the egr system, the first thing is to check the dpf sensor, this sensor tells computer that the egr valve is working, there are two hoses the run off sensor and go into exhaust lines, check the hoses ,make sure they are on and not split, if hoses are good then start by replacing that sensor. here is a pic of it.and also the hoses86ba1833-6384-4844-833d-84eadda90752.jpg1944c06a-cc52-4fd8-9c4f-ae244e7ad0df.jpg

Pulsing feel to right in steering wheel on hard left-hand turns.

What rims are on the car the steel police ones and what tires are on it could be hitting the stops on the frame and where the proper bolts put back in on the rack mounts and did you go with the heavy rack for the police car .Cause when I built them there was an issue with the proper bolts and there was a different rack for the cop cars the to the basic crown vic do to the suspension upgrade on it and the diffrent pump

2005 Crown Vic Police Interceptor: Starts then stalls

Have you checked the fuel filter. Fuel pump will pressure up, but fuel filter could be clogged and not work without the pressure of the fuel pump.
