2005 crown vic police intercepter was running good then POOF nothing, car just stoped on the road. so i asked local auto parts places and did the following Checked fuses and relays-no bad fuses and relays ok--tried starting sounds like it wants to but no fuel so-- replaced fuel filter-still nothing--replaced entire fuel pump harnes assembly with new pump, strainer, sending unit (OUCH) expensive-still no start-- alsoched kill switch in trunk-by unpluging then plug back in-and by unplug and using wire to by-pass-nothing i am at a loss-what could keep the car from starting-and yes it is a brand new 130.00 battery, goofd cables any help would be appreciated as family is now with out a car
I'm having the same similar problem with a o6 crown vic but with mine I have no power going to the fuel pump, the injectors or the on plug coils. ran jump wire to pump and it works , changed all relays with new I mean all relays . pulled all fuses and checked them all good put in new fuel pump driver module still nothing . crossed jump the cut off switch nothing; not sure but if you first turn key to on position the pump should run for a short few seconds so I can't believe it would be a crank sensor as that should only make fire in revolutions of the crank for firing . could be wrong any help would be appreciated . thanks
Lets start at the beginning. Are you saying the engine will not crank, or not start ?
If it cranks but will not start, do you have spark and normal fuel pressure ? If no fuel pressure, have you tested the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ?
If it has spark, will it try to start by using starting fluid sprayed into the intake ?
Check your crankshaft position sensor. fuel+spark+compression+timing=ignition.

Have a repair shop check for failed fuel pump
SOURCE: I have a '99 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor,

SOURCE: 2000 Crown Vic cranks but won't start.
Check the fuel pump reset switch again, if it is popped back out then replace that little switch in the trunk, any ford one will do. it works off a magnet and a bearing to close the circuit for the fuel pump. easy fix.
SOURCE: 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee will start then
this sounds like a imobiliser problem, sit in the car, lock the doors on the key fob then open them on the key fob,you have about 2 minutes to start the car or it will activate the imobiliser.had the same trouble.
