Front driver wheel jumping - 1990 Chevrolet Suburban

do you have the correct air pressure in the tyres
the tyres are off road or on one
while you are towing something like caravan
they jump or even normal they jump
if your fronts shocks are worn it does happen
if the car is unbalanced it does, uneven tyres
go to other wheel alignments and see what he say
just ask him to take a try of you car see what he think

Just google it --jack up the driver side front wheel --red cable going to starter motor you can jump though that[+]

check your brakes to see how worn out they our the indicator on your brake shoes could be telling you some thing , like you need new brakes. You could also have a rock stuck in between the brake shoe and rotor .

It would appear you have a failed CV shaft on your drivers side front. If the axle is jumping around, that means the 4wd is engaged, but the front wheels can't pull because the one axle is just freewheeling. Replace that left axle and you should be good to go. Might want to check the cv boots on the right side axle while you are there.

CHECK YOU WHEEL BEARING WILL SOUND LIKE A KNOCK WHEN THE NEHICLE IS UNDER PRESURE AND THE BEARING WILL JUMP OR RATTLE

you need to have the front axles checked or replaced,they are not freely turning

Hi Ellen. The battery on your stratus is located in the left (driver side) fender in front of the wheel. There are battery terminals under the hood though, which you can use to jump start or charge the battery from. If the battery needs to be replaced, the easiest way would be to remove the left front wheel and then an access panel in front of the wheel. The wheel does not need to be removed, according to the manual, but it does make things easier. This is a 30 minute procedure to remove the battery. All this info and more is available in the cars owners manual. If you don't have the manual, you can download it for free at this site: there is a diagram of the under hood terminals.

jump on the corner of the car that the side the noise is coming from then jump off and see how many times it bounces till it stops if it bounces 3 times to well then your front shocks are bad.

its under the hood.....in the front. if you can get it open its there, if not there are jumper poles in the rear engine bay.
Also a metal bar you can jump in the fuse box to give you enough electric to open the front hood....
If all else fails goto local porsche dealer and get them to explain how to operate the emergency cable release in either the driver or passenger side front wheel well. they get this all the time they wont be shocked...
